■3rd Person POV■

A girl runs aimlessly under the heavy rain. Her (h/c) hair is drenched and so does her entire body.

L/N Y/N finally stops running after she's tired. She crouches down and buries her face on her knees. Her tears are camouflage with the rain.

Y/N: why? What did I do wrong?

Earlier, Y/N's boyfriend broke up with her right after Y/N found her with a girl in his apartment. Hirano Sogo, a colleague from the same company who became her boyfriend of two years, cheated on her with a junior named Miki.

Y/N was about to deliver Sogo's charger that's inside her bag but found out he was making out with Miki in his apartment. Sogo apologizes and says he wants to end it with her. Y/N shoves his charger to him and left the scene though it's raining hard, leaving her umbrella.

Now she is crying, and shivering under the rain thinking about what did she do wrong. Just then, the rain stops hitting her body.

Y/N looks up and sees an umbrella sheltering her body from the rain. She looks back and see the man who holds the umbrella for her. A man with beautiful red hair smiles at her.

Tendou: hey missy, it's cold out here... let's get inside my shop...

The man offers her a hand and somehow Y/N reaches out to him. Y/N reads the name tag on his clothes.

Y/N: Tendou Satori...

Tendo invites Y/N to his shop. It's 09.00 right now and he's actually about to close the shop when he saw a girl crouching in front of his door.

Tendou: come here...

Y/N: but I'm drenched...

Tendou smiles at the shivering girl and Y/N think his smile is just like a child.

Tendou: it's okay... we can just mop it later, and I'm already closed too... here you can change with this, the only things I have in here.

Tendou hands Y/N a towel, his Hoodie, and pants of the shop uniform. Y/N gets inside the bathroom and changes.

Y/N: w-why did I just follow a man under the rain... but... he doesn't look like a bad person...

Y/N walks out of the bathroom and sees Tendo facing away from her, doing something on the counter. When he notices her he looks back and smiles.

Tendou: come here...

Y/N sits on the counter and Tendou serves her a delicious looking Choco lava cake and a cup of warm cinnamon latte.

Tendou: you need to warm yourself up~

■Y/N's POV■

The sweet and bitter smell of chocolate hits my nose right away. Tendou san looks excited as he leans his face in his hands right across the counter.

I pick up the fork and cut the soft cake, and bring it closer to my mouth as I take a bite. The sweet and bitter taste spread inside my mouth, and I feel warmed by the warm desert.

Y/N: It's... delicious...

Tendou: right~

I look up to see Tendou san smiling at me.

Tendou: well, what is your name?

Y/N: I uh... L/N Y/N... sorry for intruding...

Tendou san shook his head and looks out the window.

Tendou: it's raining anyway... well...

Tendou san turns his gaze back at me and somehow I feel that he kinda looks gentle.

Tendou: does my chocolate could make you forget about your pain for a moment?

My eyes widened, I was crying earlier and the moment he took me in and serve me this I kind of distracted. But now, I remember again and the tears start falling.

Tendou san puts a box of tissues in front of me and moves to sit beside me.

Tendou: care to tell this stranger the story? Maybe it'll ease the pain...

I gulp down, pondering about whether I should or not. But, Tendou san kind of gives me the feeling that it's okay to tell him.

Y/N: I...ve just broke up (sobs).. he cheated...

I started telling Tendou san about what happened. Tendou san says nothing as he listens to me and sometimes takes tissue for me.

Y/N: and then... he broke up with me...

Tendou san pushes the cinnamon latte in front of me and I look up at him.

Tendou: isn't that good? That means you're no longer with a cheater...

I was surprised by his response.

Tendou: imagine... if you're still with him and he actually is going out with someone else, and you never found out... do you want to stay in that kind of relationship?

No...

Y/N: n-no... I don't want to...

Tendou san smiles at me and puts the fork in my hand again.

Tendou: good... because you don't deserve that kind of relationship...it's okay to feel sad and hurt... but you need to move on... now... eat this cake while its warm to warm your heart up... tasty food could heal a broken heart little by little you know...

Tendou san is so lively, I can tell that he's more lively than this, but maybe, he's trying to not make me uncomfortable.

I grip the fork and continue eating the delicious cake and take a sip of my latte. Tendo san is watching me as I eat.

Then I saw him taking another tissue and reach out to my face. He wipes my tears away as I started crying again.

Tendou: keep eating... dig up... fill your heart up...

I keep eating while sobbing, and Tendou san keeps helping me wiping my tears away.

It's hurt...

But the sweet chocolate...

Little by little making me forget about my pain...

And my tears...

Continuously being wiped by Tendou san...

■Tendou's POV■

I pick up the plate and cup after Y/N finished all of the cake and latte. She's no longer crying but now she shyly looks at me.

Y/N: Tendou san... I'm sorry for bothering you at such an hour...

I walk to the sink and wash the cutleries.

Tendou: Nah it's okay... I just can't help but to invite you in... knowing that you cry...

I put the plate and cup on the drying rack and head to where Y/N is.

Y/N: um... thank you so much... um how much it is for the cake and latte

Tendou: no need... actually~ the cake is my new creation and I kind of used you to taste it... hihi... I'm sorry

Y/N: heh? That's a new one? It tastes good... but even so, I can't just eat all of that for free. 

This woman stares at me with her slightly red and puffy eyes.

Even by a glance, you can see that she's an honest kind girl... who would've cheated on her...

Tendou: um well then, because I don't want your money... why don't you help me by telling your friends about my place?

Her eyes widened and she stands up

Y/N: uh? Only that? I mean of course, I can... but still...

She looks troubled

How cute...

Tendou: then... one more thing... can I call you Y/N chan? And do you want to be friends with me?

Y/N: f-friends?

Tendou: yup...

Y/N looks flustered but then she nods.

Y/N: yes... that would be nice... that means... can I... come again for another cup of latte?

She looks up at me shyly and I found this amusing.

Tendou: I'll give you free dessert every time you come... but... it's a new creation... you'll be my guinea pigs for my new recipes how's that sounds?

Y/N: okay!

Huh? No hesitation?

I look at her as she stares at me seriously.

Y/N: I'd do that! I'm sure Tendou san will make more tasty desert

I can't help but laugh at her sudden optimism. She smiles as she says my dessert tastes good. She looks good this way.

Tendou: smiling suits you better you know...

Her eyes widened and her cheeks turn a bit red.

Now I feel like looking at my hair in the mirror... she turns red too easily...

Y/N: then... can I come again sometimes?

Tendou: of course you can... my new friend... but you need to call me Satori as a free pass to enter this chocolate kingdom of mine~

She looks flustered but then looks at me.

Y/N: o-okay... Satori san...

This woman is better if she's smiling...

But, I'm sure it's still not her perfect smile...

Somehow... I want to try to make her genuine smile come...

With my dessert that is...
